Ok. Here’s what’s up. My girlfriend invited me to go camping with her and her family over the 4th of July weekedn but my parents won’t let me. I’m 15 years old and I’ve been dating this girl for around 4 or 5 months. There will be chaperones and everything so I just don’t see why I can’t go. Any ideas on how I can get their approval? Thanks everyone.

just explain to your parents that you will be watched cause the y are probably thinking thier gonna have sex and everything else so explain about the chaprones and everything and tell them to keep in contact with the other parents along the camping trip

when you are trying to persuade a person instead of saying please mom and then when she says no saying fuck you or whining think of it frmo her point of view.if you were her what could your child say to convince you to let them go camping?what would your child say to you that makes you feel confident that they are ready to go. if it still doesnt work dont whine ,show matureness and the next time something comesup they will keep in mind how maturely you handled not going last time

Okay have your parents talk to her parents so they know that there will be adults there. It will make your parents feel better about the whole idea and then tell them that you will do extra chores or something that always helps when you do stuff for them.

Look, understand your parents point of view. You need to make THEM feel comfortable with the idea. If you were my son, I’d be worried too…about these things: who are the chaperones? Are they responsible? Could there be drinking or drugs? Who will keep you from sleeping/having sex with her? Believe me, these are your parents concerns as well. If you can make them feel comfortable that none of the above will happen, you’re more than half way there. One way to do this is have them speak directly with the chaperones. If it’s your girlfriends parents, have them call your parents and assure them that everything will be cool. If this doesn’t work, the best thing for you to do is accept the fact that your parents are only looking out for your best interests, and sometimes you can’t see the car coming when you step out into that open road, but they can if you know what I mean. did you already tried the old tactic of " making your GF parents talking to yours?
Talk to your GF parents and explaign the situation, and make them talk to your parents NOT over the phone. It has to be in person, face to face, that will increase the chances of them saying YEA!!! . Not make it look like a trap, just set up the meeting….
This tactic is highlly effective.
